Walking John of Groats to Land’s End.  This is the best place i’ve stopped in a long while.
…the only hostel i’ve ever been to with a moral tone! Very spacious and charming…
Peaceful, comfortable place with wonderful ethos and values. Love walking barefoot on the wooden floors. Comfy bed too. Welcoming and kind hosts. Could have spent all morning reading the maps on the walls!
Awesome hostel – love the reading room full of Terry Pratchett…
A delight to sleep in comfort in a hostel run with such ethics…
Excellent, friendly, informative, comfortable.  Will visit again…
Brilliant hostel in a stunning location.
Everything is so well organised and the ambience is relaxed, friendly and welcoming. A lovely area for walking, cycling, exploring and industrial archeaology. Also found Incredible Edible quite incredible!
Peaceful, warm, cheerful, with fun hosts too…
Excellent stop-over for Pennine Way walkers. Great accommodation and a welcome that puts a spring in your step.
A wonderful hostel experience with extra-comfortable beds…
We’ve had a fantastic time at the hostel. The rooms are really comfy and the kitchen has everything we could need. Such a great place in a fab location.
Brilliant hosts and a great place…
Beautiful, friendly place. Nicely hidden-away. Glad I found it. Lovely overnight on my Pennine Way trip.
If only every guest house was this nice!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a lovely environment, you were so kind to us and we all had a great time, especially me, the birthday girl. This was the best birthday ever!
Beautiful rooms and lots of good reading material – we will be back…
Thank you for an awesome time. Love the bunkbed room and even liked the deluxe muesli!
Fantastic oasis in Hebden, great welcome and great facilities.

Thank you for a fantastic visit – we’re leaving feeling relaxed and revived.
One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in for years. Love the quiet reading room. Lovely vibe. Good room design.
Very friendly, very well organised. You helped make my stay in Hebden Bridge a wonderful, memorable experience. The books! The maps on the walls! The lovely rooms! The local information! Splendid.
This is a special, thoughtful place.  Thank you.
Interesting, innovative, friendly, comfortable.
A hostel as lovely as the people who run it – an oasis…
A fantastic haven after day three of the punishing Pennine Way.
A very special place… comfortable, clean, incredibly friendly, in a lovely old building in a very special town.  Couldn’t have asked for more…
We’ve adored our visit – wouldn’t change a thing in this beautiful hostel!
I appreciated the friendly atmosphere and clean facilities. A beautiful and quiet place.
You’ve opened our eyes to the hostel experience! Loved it!
Although we only stayed one night you were so lovely and welcoming and helpful. The room was amazing. Love the colours and the little touches, like the notice boards. And love how we have to take our shoes off!
The best hostel experience ever!
Perfect – can’t think of anything that would make this place better.
Hebden Bridge is beautiful and magical, Mama Weirdigan’s is the icing on the cake…
Such a welcoming, gorgeous space – inside and out. Really friendly and helpful staff – nothing too much trouble.
Thank you so much for sharing this great place! It is so evident that much thought and care has gone into the planning of this space. We really appreciate your kindness and helpfulness in navigating the area.
A retreat of authenticity and integrity!
What a fab hostel, one of the best I’ve stayed in – and I’ve stayed in many!
Thanks for a great stay, could not have been more friendly and helpful.  The room was large, clean and comfortable, we will definitely be back.
Best hostel EVER! You guys are awesome!
I’m leaving here with a lot of vibrancy and things to think about… and an expanded reading list. Kind, thoughtful people have created a warm, kind, conscious living environment for all of their guests…
Very peaceful, what a treat!
What a fantastically homely place to stay!
Never slept so well in my life.  Thank you.
My negative opinion about hostels has been replaced with a positive one.  A very lovely place.
So my first trip to England ends with the feeling of getting a bit connected to this place. In the two weeks before of our holiday I haven’t have this. Thankyou.
Thanks for making my first night in the UK feel like home. You made me feel so warm and welcome – really just a fantastic evening.
Super friendly, clean and happy, made us feel right at home.
Rooms clean and practical, hospitality great, free breakfast fantastic!

Group Booking Review: Whittington GP Vocational Training Scheme from London

…have had great residential courses here for four years in a row. The setting is beautiful with easy access to country walks. The hostel has comfortable accommodation with a spacious sitting room suitable for both eating and meeting. Excellent  pubs and restaurants in the idiosyncratic little town 5 minutes walk down the hill.

Our groups have always thoroughly enjoyed their visits. The management is helpful, flexible and never obtrusive. The whole place is spotlessly clean.
I would highly-recommend Hebden Bridge Hostel to any group looking for  a venue for a really enjoyable residential course in self-contained, well-equipped comfortable premises in a country setting, easily accessible from urban centres.’

Group Booking Review: Padma Yoga from Lincolnshire

“We have used the hostel at Hebden Bridge for our annual Spring Yoga Retreat for the last two years. I found it by recommendation and was surprised by just how clean and comfortable the hostel is compared to others I’ve stayed in. Privately run, it feels like a home away from home, with all the personal touches you might expect in someone’s home… just on a larger scale.

Dave, Emma & the whole crew always go out of their way to accommodate our needs and to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Communication is fast and friendly and nothing feels too much trouble. The hostel is fully equipped and there are lots of thoughtful touches to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

As a venue for a retreat weekend, it offers the perfect combination of accommodation, teaching space, kitchen facilities and space to chill out. We cater for 16 people and with a little refinement this year found it worked really well. We’ve just re-booked for a third year and have built a reputation on offering a fabulous retreat in a really lovely place. Everyone that joins us loves the hostel and can’t believe it’s just that. Personally, it’s a lovely space to teach in, light and airy, lovely and warm, and it holds the amazing energy of the groups that stay here. It’s a real credit to Dave & Emma.”
