The dorms, bunkroom, DIY kitchen, shared toilet, lounge and daytime lobby area will reopen. However we do understand that some of of you may still feel cautious or be more vulnerable – so we will continue to offer drinks and breakfast trays in your room if you choose not to use communal areas. You can still choose to have private bedrooms, shower and toilet facilities too. We will be keeping the hostel well ventilated and continue with thorough cleaning regimes as we have throughout the last year.
The lobby area and downstairs toilet will reopen during the day. So if you arrive early you can make yourself a drink or shelter from the weather.
The main hostel (bedrooms, lounge, kitchen) will be closed between 10.00am and 5pm. Hebden Bridge town is open and you can help support our little local businesses by enjoying a meal al fresco, shopping in the open air market and browsing the independent shops. Or mooch along the waterways, chill in the park and explore the footpaths and heritage of this unique town
Although regulations no longer mandate all guests to wear a face covering we are still recommending that people do in crowded areas, especially the kitchen if you are sharing it with people outside your social bubble.
Anyone experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms during their stay must inform us immediately in as safe a way as possible – ideally by phone or email, otherwise at a distance while wearing a face covering – and should return home immediately to self-isolate, along with anyone else staying in the same room or having close contact.
If anyone reports coronavirus-like symptoms while staying or working at the hostel we will follow Public Health advice including deep disinfecting, quarantining as required, and communicating transparently with other guests.
